Role: Lathe OperatorLocation: MildenhallPay: 13.00 - 15.00 p/hourHours: Monday to Friday during the training period (08:00-17:00, approx. 2-6 weeks), then Sunday to Tuesday 06:00-18:00, plus every other WednesdayStart Date: ImmediateContract: This is a permanent role subject to a successful 3-month temporary probation period

An established manufacturer in Mildenhall is seeking a Lathe Machine Operator to join their production team. This hands-on role offers a fixed shift pattern, stability, and the chance to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

If you have lathe or machine operating experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this is a great long-term opportunity.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous lathe experience isn't essential but desirable
• Comfortable working with machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Reliable, hands-on, and safety-conscious
• Willingness to learn and develop skills further

Duties Include:

• Operating lathe and production machinery
• Carrying out machine start-up and shut-down procedures
• Monitoring quality and reporting any issues
• Assisting with tooling changes and machine adjustments
• Performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting
• Keeping the work area clean, organised, and safe
• Working as part of a team to meet daily production deadlines
